Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction is the programme developed by Joh Kabat-Zinn and Colleages at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and they describe it as "a psychoeducational experiential learning program based on the core principle of mindfulness". It is delivered as an 8 week course, each session lasting 2 to 2.5 hours, with a day workshop.
